With an early start I hopped across the bridge to Geilston Bay Boat Club to take the Recreational Boating Course with Fred and Jane from BoatBiz-Tas .
After a good thorough lesson in theory, learning all about the rules of the road, lights and hazards we went out onto the water.
Safe Boating is the emphasis. netural, putting in forward and backward gear. Hands on expeirence and everyone learned a bunch. For me I believe it was really the second time on the controls. I can say it went all well, no problem getting the boat safely back onto the pier. We even saw a couple of dolphins on the way. I do look forward to being on the water after and while the Viking is restored.
At the end a test in the theory which I got full score and I got my Interim Recreational Motor Boat Licence.
Now you guys can call me Captain.
Ahoy everybody
review those boating lessons and stay safe on the water
